Current Bids and Requests for Proposals


Carroll County will be accepting sealed bids to conduct rabies clinics at various locations and times in Carroll County starting on November 1, 2016 through the first weekend of February 2017.  It is anticipated that there will be a minimum of (15) Fifteen Rabies Clinics serving at least the following Communities:  Laurel, Woodlawn, Pipers Gap, Dugspur, Laurel Fork, Cana, Lambsburg, Hillsville, Ivanhoe, Gladesboro, Sylvatus, and Coon Ridge, with the last one being Hillsville and Cana on an annual basis.

The Rabies contract will be for a period of (1) year starting with the first Rabies Clinic on or about November, 1, 2016.  The awarded bidder will be responsible for advertising in local newspapers the location and time of the clinics and contacting locations to hold the Rabies Clinics.  Advertisements will be published in one of both of the local newspapers serving Carroll County in the fall of or close to October 31st of the contract year.  The advertisement will be a minimum size of 2 inch by 3 inch. 

The purpose of the clinics is to provide the citizens of Carroll County rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats (4) four months of age or older to bring owners into compliance with the VA code and for health and safety reasons. 

Carroll County abides by all sections of the Virginia Procurement Act and requires all bidders to comply as well. 

All bids should be sent to Nick Rife, Finance Office, 605-1 Pine Street, Hillsville, VA 24343.
