The Carroll-Grayson-Galax Solid Waste Authority is a regional landfill that serves the counties of Carroll, Grayson, and the City of Galax. The Carroll-Grayson-Galax Regional Solid Waste Authority maintains and operates the Sanitary Landfill in accordance with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Residents may deposit household trash, garbage, and rubbish at the landfill Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The landfill is also equipped to take various forms of recyclable materials.
