The Carroll County Public Library is a branch of the Galax-Carroll Regional Library System.
Anyone may register for a library card by presenting photo identification with current address. Children between 4 and 18 must have parent/guardian with them at the time of application. Most books, audio-books, or magazines have a 2 or 3 week checkout. VHS and DVDs check out for 7 days. Reference materials and current issues of magazines may not be checked out. Most [not all] items can be renewed by phone. Fines, books, etc. is 25 cents per day; for VHS or DVDF it is $1.50 per day. Holds can be placed on most items by phone or on-line. The “Online Catalog” available from the library’s web page with a valid library card and pin number.
