Absentee Voting Information
ABSENTEE VOTING
Absentee voting begins 45 days prior to the general election. The office of the General Registrar is open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on the two Saturdays preceding a general election for in-person absentee voting.
Voters who will be out of town on Election Day and voters who are elderly or incapacitated may be qualified to vote early. Please contact the office of the General Registrar for more information.
The final day for in-person absentee voting is on the Saturday preceding the election.
Contact the office of the General Registrar (276-730-3035) for information on requesting a ballot by mail. The deadline for such a request is the Tuesday preceding the election.
Voted Absentee Ballots must be received on or before 7:00 p.m. Election Day in order to be counted.
